Beloved garden tool?

I have this ancient pair of shears that have been mistreated for countless planting seasons, left out in the rain and worse, left a tad smudged at the end of the day and yet, with cleaning and oiling and sharpening, live to garden with me yet another year.It has pruned thick limbs, dug holes, cut wire bails and GOK what else. Do you have a treasured implement that you can't garden without?

Well, it's not technically a garden implement, although I do use it to help layout new areas for planting. I have a 3/4" X 16' Stanley tape measure that I've had since I was a kid, which was many moons ago. It's like a chubby little friend. A few times I thought I lost it and was in mourning until it showed up again.
