Do you have a favorite garden oddity, such as a walking stick cabbage or a yard long bean, that you grow just because it looks so wierd and is such a curiosity?

Okay, I'll bite. The spring plant I secretly adore even more than Fritillaria Imperialis, which comes up about the same time, is Allium Vineale. I baby it and cut down the Echinacea around it because I love its strangeness.

Here is a link that might be useful: Allium Vineale

Try a web search for Dioscorea elephantipes and Kigelia africana. My specimens are small but I am very found of their uniqueness.

I have a pregnant onion. I just rediscovered it after about 10 years. I don't remember where it came from or why I have it in the first place. What is it supposed to do? Flower? Grow tall? So far , it has produced one offspring, but is still "pregnant" looking. Anyone know anything about this? L.
