| Our friend gave us a Herald's Trumpet flower plant (Beaumontia grandiflora). We live in Wisconsin and I have had great success with our hibiscus by just taking the plant inside before it gets cold at night, and then leaving it outside all summer. When I brought in my hibiscus and herald's trumpet, the leaves on the trumpet plant started to fall off and we noticed spider mites. We spritzed all of our plants with a solution that I bought at the garden center to get rid of them, but no success with the Herald's trumpet plant. All the leaves fell off and we are looking at 2 long woody stems!
Can we take cuttings and try to root them in rooting compound? I just can't find much info on how to transplant or propogate this type of plant.
Thanks so much! I spend most of my time at the cooking forums, but lurk at the garden sites. I am amazed at the beauty of most of your gardens! |
