My husband has become a fruit farmer/gardener. He researches each phase extensively before he plants. He's been through Japanese maples, conifers, fruit trees, and berries and has just become interested in propagation. Zones 6b and 7a.

As wife-of-fruit farmer/gardener, I'm searching for a Christmas present he will use or a book that will introduce him to some new piece of gardening/small farming. He usually tells me what to get him but it would be lovely to have a present he enjoys and doesn't expect.

Any suggestions?
