Figs are commonly propagated by cuttings. Seed propagation of seeds is only possible if the figs were pollinated by a fig wasp, and even then the seedlings may not produce figs.
In order to obtain the same variety as the mother tree, they are raised by cuttings. Grafting is not common with figs.
