Fig tree chill hours

I brought my figs outside in an attempt to keep them dormant since I have them in the cellar that's in the 50's F

    Many fig cultivars have poor cold tolerance and will die outside during your winter. Further, most of them have a very low chill hour requirement. For more accurate information, see the listings here:

    Hi Tom, as always nice video.
    Here they get months of chill hours in unheated attached garage but 1 day hopefully that will no longer be the case.

    I live in central Florida where we do get down to 32* with the chill factors. Have my 2celestial & 1black mission for 25 years and really enjoy them. Was still picking black mission a couple of weeks ago before it got cold. These cooler nights are helping our trees produce in the spring.
