I have tried using BTi, and well, with mixed review. It could be that I dont get the gratification of watching these fig killing parasites die, :) The yellow sticky traps seem to work OK but I worry that the gnats I caught already left babies in the soil.

I am now experimenting with using Neem oil. Neem oil seems to be friendly to the beneficial insects, including worms. Has anyone tried using Neem oil for fungus gnats. I read that Dr. Tapla seems to think very highly of neem oil. (Al, forgive me if I mis read)

Also, I have just found a citrus based product (not very cheap) called SM-90. It seems to be used in hydroponics to keep bad bugs away including certain types of root disease and fungus.
