    I would be interested!

Funny, I have not been to this forum for a while, and then I find this post! so neat!

Where in South Jersey would it be? I live in Forked River.

Would they be selling also? ( Only because I may not have many cuttings to offer).

    Thanks! Christy

Sounds like fun, but where and when? I'm in the Philly area so South Jersey is a nice day trip!

We are trying to see what everyone wants. I have a few parks that we can meet in with pavilions and bbq facilities. We were looking at gloucester, camden or burlington county areas. Another idea was to meet at trees of joy in the allentown pa area. We are going to have guest speakers do a presentation on propegation methods, air layering and springtime pruning. All free of charge, and a chinese auction for plants and cuttings. trades and sales welcome. This is an opportunity to meet local fig growers and possibly learn a few tricks of the trade. We have a forum member that is a chef and will be cooking for all attendees. The date is still open as the speakers need to coordinate schedules but we are anticipating mid to end of April. Looking for ideas and interest.

I am still in, unless there is a confliction with the day it happens which I do not think there will be.
Maybe we could all bring something food wise to help out? Christy

I will probably be there both ways,
    less some unlikely emergency happens.
    (I prefer BS's place)

I encourage everyone to bring some-fig-stuff
(off one best-means) for a ruffle - I think it was great
last year - anybody walked out happy with something new.

As for food, we did well without any last year.
Nice if some coordinated effort is done for everybody
    to bring some (very-simple) snack/drink
    - no roasted/BB'd piglet (or eq.) is required ...

    Another success!

Thanks Bass for hosting the 2nd NE fig-meet.
    Your garden-tour was impressive.
Thanks for the demo about grafting.
Thanks to you, I am venturing to some more rare-fruits.

Thanks Al for your demo about fig pruning.

I almost did not make it - was the very last to arrive (& leave).

Everybody went back home happy with at least 3-6 new
    items - giveaway/ruffle/bought items...

Some fig-people I did see at the 1 st meet (or visit).
Some were new (welcome) faces. At first I was bombarded
    with names (I am very bad with remembering names!);
but eventually I got them all by later taking to each individual.
I suggest that for next time we all wear some (cheap)
    real-first-name/FF-username(or guest) name-tag.
