| Here is an alternate method you may also find useful(link below). It is something I tossed together for an F4F fig friend that needed a handhas a little more images that folks may find helpful. Sometimes words just aren't enough, and pictures make all the difference (some of us are visual learners, some audio, some kinesthetic). If you use the method I provide below, TinyPic.com has a convenient "RESIZE" box where you can automatically resize the image when you upload it, so you don't need to take any extra steps or worry about what version of Windows you're running. For what it's worth, I feel that "forum size" picture resizing (640x480 pixels) is way too small these days. there are very few people that still have 15" screens (except on laptops), so 800x600 is perfectly acceptable size choice, and 1024x768 is pushing the limits of some "standard" equipment these days but ... most modern laptops and desktops support higher resolutions than that. I would say choose 800x600, but this is just my 2¢. |
