I planted a turkey fig early last summer. It never did very well, lost most of its leaves and branches by end of summer. Now it is Mid-March and I have one 21" main "trunk", no leaves. It seems to be alive (not dry and brown). Should I do anything? Cut back to force branches to sprout from this "trunk"? Wait and see, then what? Give it up ? Do not know what went wrong, perhaps I planted it too late in the season? Thanks for any advise.
