Misidentified fig

Hello all

I am new to the site and would like some help with this little fig tree I bought today.

I don't believe the name of this tree is called poaliana. I've attached a picture. Can anyone tell me what variety this fig tree is? Thank you.

RE: Misidentified fig

I never heard of a fig tree by that name. Where did you get it? It might be Hardy Chicago or a Brown Turkey. You would need a picture of the fruit, whole and split in half to get a better chance of identifying it. Hope it gives you fruit this year then post the pictures.

RE: Misidentified fig

I read paoliana, Definitely an Italian name. Like paul/anna. A girl's name. In English Polianna?

Sounds like someone wanted to be creative to
give the fig this name-paoliana.

RE: Misidentified fig

hello again,

just following up on this post from back in March. The fig has grown 5 feet or so and it has 3 figs currently. I will post a few pics and hopefully it will help to ID the tree. Thanks again.
