Cure for Fig Leaf Rust

There are so many gardening uses for 3% Hydrogen Peroxide like you buy at the grocery store or drug store. So I tried it on my turkey fig tree planted in a container.
I put a spray top on the bottle and sprayed it directly on the infected leaves after sundown. The next morning there was little or no rust! Sprayed them again the next evening - now no rust at all. After a month or so, the rust came back - so I did it again - no rust! ph of 3% H2O2 in the bottle is 5.0-6.0 (slightly acetic), mixed with 1/2 tap water is 6.0-6.5 (near neutral).
