I can't speak to which varieties would be best or whether or not you'll get fruit, but...I brought a Celeste into my office with a west-facing window. It had broken dormancy earlier than I expected (my fault), but it's doing great in the office so far.

You can grow any fig tree you want in your office, I always have a few fig trees at work and they grow fine as they do get quite a bit of sun, but if they do fruit the figs are usually fairly Bland in flavour.
