Sounds ready to go by me. Good potting mix with a little perlite optional. Trying to create a micro-climate with some warmth and humidity is good also but sometimes I think we go overboard with figs. Make sure it doesn't get too hot or wet if you do cover them. Personally, I wouldn't once they have roots and leaves and it is spring.They are very resliant.

Fig trees are very resilient. I had a fig that was hit by a fallen tree last summer. Thought it had died until this spring it started leafing out again and seems to be coming back strong.

I went ahead and potted it in a peat cup for now. I have a humidity dome in the form of a large freezer bag covering it now. I'll keep updating this as results come in.

I have some chicago hardy, fico nero, and nero missione fig cuttings that I placed in pots in my basement underlights in February. The temperature in the basement is around 63 degrees, so I used a plastic soft-drink bottle with the bottom cut out to create a moist, warmer environment. All have begun to leaf out and I even have a small fig on one cutting, but no leaves yet.
