Unless you say how large the containers are it is impossible to say if one quart is enough. Once every two weeks sounds like it would have been good for your situation though because the trees have not leafed out. You will want to provide enough water that some drains out the holes at the bottom, and frequently enough that the pots do not dry out but not so often that they stay wet all the time.
Your trees will need water more frequently as the intensity of sunlight, daylength, temperature, wind, and number of leaves/fruits increase, also when humidity decreases. If it were me I would water them well and set them in the sun outside so the leaves do not have to adjust to UV light later on. If you are going to keep them in the greenhouse all season then leave them, ventilation should be much more important than heat there in SF.

hoosierbanana thanks for replying 2 trees are in 15 gallon containers and 2 are in 10 gallon containers. do you think its all right to start leaving them outside until it gets cold again, even if some nights might still get down to 40's and when should they get miracle grow fertilizer?

40 is fine for a tree. cuttings would not like it one bit though. It will take frost to damage the new leaves and figs so you should move them someplace safe if frost is predicted, or cover them with a sheet for the night. You could take advantage of nice weather outside and then put them back into the greenhouse when it gets cold outside so they will keep growing fast but be a little more hardened off to UV light so they will do better when they go back out.
