giant green fig cutting in bag

i got a cutting from a tree that produces giant green figs, this is my 1st year propagating fig cuttings. back in nov. 2010 i got a cutting from an old black mission in napa valley. i put the cutting in regular potting soil and its growing.

now i have another cutting, but from a green fig. i placed the cutting in a bag wrapped with newspaper. ive never tried this method but i hear you guy do it, so, its been a week and no roots. how long do you guys think it will take to see some roots?

Don't know how long it will take to see roots, but I do know, be sure you wrap only the stem, leaving BOTH ENDS OPEN. I tried this last year and didn't realize you weren't supposed to wrap the end that would go into the ground. If you do, the end rots. :(

Do you mind answering a few questions? Are you using a paper bag wrapped with newspaper? How often do you wet the cutting? Is any soil being used inside the bag? I will be doing the rooting inside the house and am exploring different ways of doing it.

im using regular newspaper, i dont wrap the ends because they can rot, im not using soil inside the bag. and im changing the newspaper every 3-4 days. the newspaper has to be moist not wet.
