Should I pinch flower buds on newly planted fig trees?

I planted two fig trees (tiger + seedless janice) a couple months ago. They are growing well and I think one is starting to bud. Should I pinch these to promote root and branch growth since this is the first year they are in the ground? Maybe leaving just a few to enjoy...

If they are little round buds, they are figs. If they are pointy buds, they are leafs. Leave them be. It won't hurt anything.

Pinching question...Have a brown turkey in ground. It started new shoots from the bottom. They are now about 18" talk and have about 5 leaves on them. If I pinch the tree will only be 18" talk...is this correct or am I missing something?
