I heavily pruned my really old, really huge fig tree a few months ago.

I piled the trimmings out in the old pasture and used some to stake my peas in the garden.

The trimmings are starting to bud in the garden and in the pasture too!

I didn't pull on the garden stakes because I didn't want to disturb the peas.

I tugged on a few in the pasture pile and they have set roots so deep that I can't pull them up!

I guess I'll have a fig forest in the pasture and plenty of transplants from the garden!
