Too Hot for a Fig?

Hello everyone,
I have three small questions about summer heat and figs. It seems my fig tree has stopped developing its figs and is aborting any small figs. There are still big ones that remained firm and green. The soil is getting dry by mid-day and I water it two times a day. Temperatures were about 43CÃ¯Â¿Â½-50CÃ¯Â¿Â½ in this week.
1- Is it getting too hot for a fig tree?
2- Can I spray it with water to cool it down?
3- will spraying water affect the figs on the tree?

Hi Mohammad,

50C is pretty hot, and I suspect it's dry there too? Here in the Southern US (Florida) it rarely gets above 35 but I still mulch around the roots and have my figs shaded part of the day (late afternoon) by larger plants.

Ohh thank you!
Not that dry it is very humid too I got soaked in my sweat yesterday when I was harvesting limes.
I guess I cant do much about it...
I thought water would cool it.
