did I over do it?

pulled 2 potted figs from their 24" pots.
trimmed the roots alot, but based on my last time doing this, I didn't think I over did it.
I trimmed some of the center stems as well.
They have 50% new potting soil, pine bark on bottom and some new weep holes in the pot.
This was all 2 weeks ago.

They were very root bound.
They were winter wrapped in a sunny part of the yard, as in previous winters, but it was a harsh winter here.
They have been well watered and I fertilized with M Grow as well as SuperThrive vits (as per the package instructions).

The trees look OK, but no signs of life yet.
