I'm Backwards

A couple months ago I made several cuttings from a neighbors fig tree. I wrapped the bottom half of each cutting with a damp paper towel and put them all in a plastic bag. I checked them this morning and they were all loaded with nice roots. The problem is most of the roots are on the upper part of the cutting that was not wrapped in the paper towel and the bottoms had very little growth. Some of them had none at all. I almost potted them upside down but thought that might be a bad idea. I'm hoping I have enough roots under the dirt. I guess I'll see.
