The time has come to post my fig collection.

I've talked about it and now I'm doing it and I hope everyone will be impressed. I am very excited to share this list with everyone.

And I am only starting.

That is all and I hope I didn't miss anything.

Most of the 1gl. are from cuttings I got earlier this year. I rate my rooting success to about 60% and that is not bad considering I'm hardly home to take care of them myself all the time.

Anything that failed this season I will try again next season. Will not give up.

Looks like you really like vdb. Well whats not to like. Also you have preta? Do you mean the Portuguese fig preto?

Black Mission should be in Container in your climate.
It is a super tasty fig,but not very cold hardy!

I must agree with you on the Mission should be in a pot in my climate. I was doing one of those thinking from the rear type of things when I planted it in the ground.

Yes I do like the VDB. As a matter of fact I recently got some cuttings from a very well known fig friend. Just to try his VDB strain.

On the question for the Preta.
I got the cuttings from another member as Preto. I labeled it as Preta as per Adrianos website.
That's my mistake, I should have asked the source first to make sure which is which.

The problem is Adriano and the source are both Portuguese.
Now who is right and who is wrong?

Rafed it's been more than two years since you started this thread. I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting an update on which ones you liked and and kept and which ones you got rid of.

Hello my good friend from Michigan.

Where do you grow all of these fig trees Rafed. You have a very nice collection. Did you purchase more property.

Phil from Northern cold Ohio. 72 degrees tomorrow finally. I have to net my fig trees because the squirrels are chewing and pulling the branches off.
