Hello,
Where did you get your vdb? I bought one and I started to think it's not vdb, would like to get a real one.
Thanks.

This tree is from Dave Wilson nursery. I bought it at a local independent nursery.

They are starting to come in now. Really a fine eating fig.

Nothing like a load of figs in the dog days of Summer. These are mostly VdB with some 'Black Jack' for good measure.

Awesome! I'll take pics of my first few vdbs coming off the tree this week. In our excitement we ate the one ripe one...definitely jammy and flavorful. Best fig of my life.

Now we are excited and can hardly wait for the others. Time to net the trees because we found one vdb devoured by birds.

haxorwear, you know exactly what I'm talking about. :)

VdB is something special. This tree is one of the best things I have planted on my lot. Takes the blast furnace heat and turns it into sweet jammy goodness.

You can see one of my early VdBs. The contrast of dark skin to rich red velvet Iterior is really pleasant. My VdB looks like it has about twenty figs, likely ripening successively over the next two weeks.

My blackjacks look like yours but are huge. My panache tiger has only a few figs staying on, hoping some of those mature.

And an avocado for size reference... Blackjack then VdB.

I've had two more VdBs since that first one and they were much darker inside and even tastier. I may have to put another VdB tree in at this level of quality.

Yep, 'Black Jack' figs can get pretty big. That's a quarter next to one.
