Beautiful pictures, Leon. Thanks for posting them. I had seen a description that said that Dauphine's "branches fall to the ground". And it sounded as if Dauphine might be a good candidate for identification of the Weeping Fig. Your post has settled that question.
I'll be watching Aldo/Corleone side by side with the Weeping Fig this season. At this point I still think they are very similar - but different figs.
This Dauphine originates from Baud. I'll let you know what happens regarding the main crop. Looks like several more brebas will be ripening over the next few days.
The other one is called "Violet Dauphine" which is totally different from "Dauphine". The Violet Dauphine is a Common fig. The Dauphine is of the San Pedro type.
