Ok. So I bought this pot ages ago and if I don't get something to grow in it I'll have to get rid of it (better half's orders). I would love to plant a ficus in it but am extremely concerned about wet feet. Do any of you experts have any thoughts about how I can make this work? The pot is actually very large and could contain another pot within it (terra cotta perhaps to facilitate evaporation and air flow perhaps?). Any thoughts on soil type/mix? Should I just bag the whole idea? Better plant species to consider?
