I hope it will bear well for you. It's a very beautiful tree, with the striped branches and figs. It is a late bearer which will not grow well in the ground but in the container it wouldn't be a problem.
Sal I'm sure it will do well in your climate. Good luck with it.

Looks like you have a big yard.
I can see about 30 or 40 fig trees planted in the ground.

Ah i thanked Bass ( Bonsaist) on the other fig forum and forgot here as was in rush.
So thanks Bass and look forward to others .

One question about Panache.
In family of figs Dark and White ( green etc)
This type is neither and falls into it own category called "Chimera" i thought i may have read that category in Gustavs or another old reading a good while back please correct me if wrong ?

Martin, I think it falls in the green variety.
here's a similar fig to Panache that turn purple when ripe.

May i ask what is that fig called , i never saw anything like that one .

This variety is called portajal rimada. It is grown in Mallorca, Spain.

Hi,

The Panache variety is so beautiful,
it looks like mini air balloon!
Wish I have this lovely variety of fig!
