Fuzzy fig?

As I was photographing by "BT" for another post, I noticed white "fuzz" on one of my Celeste figs. It was definitely not there yesterday. Anyone recognize this? Is it benign or should I spring into action and do something - anything?

It may be mealy bugs. Try scraping them off and squishing them. If they are juicy, definitely mealy bugs. They are sucking insects, I wouldn't overreact and declare war, depending on the infestation, they do like to hide in nooks and crannies, so give it a thorough inspection. Good luck and I hope I'm wrong!
