How big is the pot?

Did you recently miss it from watering?

Adding the fertilizer plus proper watering might do the trick. The tips above should aslo be taken into consideration. Has your tree outgrown its pot? Did you miss a few days of watering? Remember, in this heat, extra watering is in order. A bit of mulch over the dirt might help retain proper moisture.

On refletion, lack of water may have been my problem. I can only access the tree on the weekends, and when I arrived 2 weekends ago, the leaves were droopy and the soil was dry (we had some very warm weather too). I watered it and the leaves soon perked up. When I saw it last weekend, the green leaves were perky, but there were lots of yellow ones too.

I made a rare mid-week trip out to the garden site last night and the tree looked better - hardly any yellow leaves (probably all have fallen off!) and the green ones looked good.

The pot is huge. I can barely move it. I'd guess it's 2'X 2'X 2'. I haven't gotten any figs yet, but hopefully this year.

Under watering. I used to regularly see this with my containerized figs. As long as your soil is well-draining, they appreciate the larger pots. If you miss a watering or two, the dry soil just gets real hot and although they love their heads in the sun, the roots seem to really recent hot/arid conditions. My figs this year are in larger containers and really see to be loving it.

Yes, This problem is something to do with water. Potted fig tree never seems having enough of water in summer time. That is one reason I put it in the ground .
