I would think your fig leaves would be drying up and falling off as the trees start going dormant for winter.

So the trees don't have any fungus issues, it's just they are getting ready to become dorment? :)

If there is no other issue like fungus that endangers your little tree, you don't need to worry. Fig trees shed their leaves preparing for dormancy when Winter is coming.

I remember when my first fig tree was spending its first winter indoor, it shed all its leaves and without knowing what deciduous meant, so I thought to myself-"Oh Gosh! Is the little tree dead?!" Then after 2 months or so, new leaves started to appear! I was relieved then!

Just bring the little fig tree home to spend its early's winter years in your house, and let nature does the rest!
