Ficus Jacqueline No Leaves Needs Help

Hi. I have a Ficus Jacqueline that I need some help with.
I purchased it about 2 years ago and I re-potted it last May. Over the past two years it has slowly lost all of its leaves. My apartment at the time had only north facing windows and thus it received little light. I have recently moved to a sunny apartment and brought my ficus with me. It looks dead but I'm holding out hope that it is only dormant.
This is a picture of it now in its current state.
I plan to move it back from the window but leave it in the same room so that it gets lots of light but avoid any risk of a draft from the open window or dry heat from the heater directly below the window.
I have read that pruning it back may help bring it out of a dormant state but I need help with how to do so. Any suggestions?
I really want to save this tree as it was purchase for my wedding. Please help!
