Need help identifying a fig!

Hey everyone! New to the site but I've been reading through a lot of the threads lately. I bought a house at the end of January and the previous owner was a gardening fanatic. We have 2 lemon trees, an orange tree, grape vines, a couple nectarine trees, and a fig tree.

The figs started popping out in early March and I watched them for what seems like forever as they grew and grew. While growing, they're quite dark green. Finally last week, we started to see the first few ripe figs. They were soft and definitely ripe. I could tell which ones were ripe or close because they changed in color from dark green to yellow green.

I don't have a picture of the tree but I can get one later today or tomorrow (I'm sure that might help as much as looking at the fig itself). I do have a picture of the fig split open. Does anyone happen to know what kind of fig this is?

I live in Southern California and the tree looks like it's been there for quite a while.

What an awesome fig. Such distinct appearance. You certainly bought the right house.

Somebody in the forum will be able to identify this one. Pix of the tree and the leaves will help.

Once the variety is known, people in the forum will want cuttings. Put me on the cuttings list.

The details are not clear,in order to ID.
You were supposse to show the fruit entire,first.
Looking at the interior ,I can guess it is Stella.
Also it looks unripe to me.
If you want me to take a better guess,wait till another fruit is ripe but very well ripe,and then take a pix as entire another cut in Half ,and also place a quarter dollar coin,next to it.

And like previous poster said show a leaf that is the most usual on your tree.

Closer up of the figs. I'm not at home but when I am, I can take the picture with the coin for reference.

That first one was almost ripe but I have been seeing a few good ones, so I'll pick one this evening to show it.

Your Fig is "Verte".
