Dropping leaves

My Black mission fig has been in the ground about 3 years. this is the first year she has figs on her. Suddenly, within one week, she has started dropping leaves like crazy! The leaves turn yellow and fall off. The fruit is staying on, just the leaves drop off.
Are figs touchy about changes in temp? It just turned HOT (100 degrees) here. I don't know how to help the tree.

We live in southern Arizona and our newly-planted mission fig tree is also gradually dropping leaves but not dropping fruit.

We planted it 45 days ago and water it daily, filling the well around the tree.

Temps are now at 100 degrees every day.

The leaves don't look stressed but some gradually turn yellow, then drop to the ground. Those remaining appear healthy.

Another odd occurrence is that some of the many figs on the tree have not grown to full size, but have turned purple and shriveled. Others remain full-sized and green at this point.

Could the shriveling indicate not enough water?
