Yellow leaves on older fig tree

My fig tree is over 10' tall and is over 20 years old. It is loaded with figs but the leaves are turning yellow and dropping. Do I need to be concerned? If so, what do I need to do? The figs are green/yellow variety. I know very little about taking care of a fig tree.

With out seeing the fig, I'd have to guess that the tree is showing stress from lack of moisture. I'd try deep watering the tree a couple of times a week and see if that helps.
