Is the fig going dormant in the green house?

Have you root pruned this plant?
At the size you bought and now 2 years later you need to root prune it if you have not done so.
When you root prune wait till plant is dormant.
In a container depending on outdoor temps they can need watering everyday.

dieseler, i've heard of root pruning and i only have a few trees in pots so i've never done it before. can you tell me how to properly do it?

If you cannot see the pictures you can register to forum for free and its simple if you like then see pictures if you cant see them otherwise.
I like to cut out wedges along with sawing off top and bottom then adding soil back into pot to compensate .
One also must trim canopy of tree back some as well to balance tree or risk fig drop the following season for lack of root support ratio to tree size and figs.
