Hello everyone...I'm hooked on growing figs like the rest of you. Love the taste of fresh figs but can't find locally here in Buffalo NY. I was given two fig trees by a neighbor and I repotted them and they are doing very well.Keep them in the garage over winter and take them out in May. Hope to have my first batch of figs @ 30 at last count this Summer. Not sure of the variety though? Best regards, Mark in Buffalo

Good luck with your figs and sometimes you may need it in your area which is not too different that Ottawa. To have your fig ripened before the frosty days you will have to do everything possible to give your plants the maximum sun light and heat whether direct, reflected or tapped heat.

What did they look like before this stage? I just posted a photo with my post 'new growth or figlet'. Did they look anything like this? Good luck to you!
