Those 2 are breba's. The next batch tastes even better if you can imagine that. In my opinion lattarula is the best tasting fig outside of calmyrna, which I cant grow anyway on the East Coast.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I have now identified and have a name for my, "Unknown Fig.". It has taken me a long time. In addition to the whole fig and leaves when I saw the cut one with the pale pulp I knew I had it!

Great fig! Especially here in the NorthEast.

Last week I visited with another Old Timer in Thibodaux, Louisiana who grows several fig varieties including the Italian Honey fig. They are ripening now in South Louisiana and I got the chance to eat quite a few. It is an excellent tasting fig. The leaves have serrated edges and fruit similar to above pictures. He claims that it is a popular variety that is sold on roadsides in Italy. I left with cuttings as I definitely want it included in my collection.

Your Fig is Italian Honey,but not Latarulla.
Latarulla Is another italian fig ,Green with red interior.
Yet in this country,most nurseries,Consider Italian Honey as Latarulla.
Italian Honey is Identical with Blanche de Argenteuil,and not with Latarulla.
Latarulla have more Latex inside the wood than any other fig,and that is why is called Latarulla.
Italian Honey is just a normal figwithout excess Latex.
