Yikes. Help. Planters Too Short

I started some fig cuttings lying down, with just the very tip out of the soil. It works like magic. They rooted wonderfully. Thank you to the person who recommended that.

I just dumped out the first batch to re-pot them. They've got a nice bunch of root way down at the very bottom and a lot of new fat small roots coming out just at soil level, close to the new growth. No roots in between.

None of my planters are tall enough to cover all the roots. My plan was to re-pot them into 5 gallon buckets. The leaves and the top roots are left sticking up in the air about 4 inches, uncovered.

I put some temporary collars around the exposed roots. I've got a bunch more to re-pot. I don't have any pots tall enough to bury all the roots, and I've got some pretty big pots. As the pots get bigger, they don't seem to get any taller. The 15 gallon pots aren't tall enough, and that's a lot of potting soil for a cutting.

What's the advice?
