I can only say that this fig look delicious. I don`t think the name is real. I think that someone plays games with names of unknown figs.

Great Video. That fig is very similar in size and color to a TX Blue Giant that I just purchased. However, the Blue Giant's flesh is amber colored.

Hi, Thanks, I purchased the cutting from Encanto Farms and they have a very good data base on fig varieties. There are a couple of versions of the Rei fig so that is why I am not sure which one this is. Encanto farms describes the brebas as large and green but does say it bares two crops. This fig tree does bare a main crop too but last year it was too late to ripen but was the right color as described. Adriano's website lists a Black Rei fig with no description. No matter the variety it is a nice fig. I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks

And all you have on that tree is just one fig. On my 5 producing fig trees I have almost 100 figs but mine still small and green.I can not wait until late August to show my rippen figs. I have brown turkey, Italian, Chicago hardy and no name trees 10 total
