My name is Ramachandran and I am from India. I have an opportunity to get some fig cuttings from abroad through a friend who is coming from the USA.

I am looking for 1) medium sized

2. crops over a longer period even if the yield is lower.
3. Sweet fruits
4. Can withstand the heat.

This is for my personal garden and not for selling..

I would be very grateful for your kind suggestions as I know nothing about figs.

2) 10.5800ð N, 76.9300ð E

The climate in location (1) is typical of costal areas. Hot and dry or hot and humid. Min temps are around 21deg C and max temps around 40 deg C.

location (2) is in the foot hills of the western ghats mountain range and is quite pleasant . Min temps durinbg night can touch 13 deg C during winter and max during summer can go upto 38 deg C This place gets a lot of rainfall .
