| I read so many conflicting and complicated ideas on how and when to prune and water Figs to get the best crop. Our fig is about 6 years old and we get very few figs.Some years we prune, other years not. I would love hear others experiences..... |

| What I consistently hear is that you should prune the tree to allow the sun to reach the inner area. The outer branches are optional and won't hurt the tree. But if you're not getting many figs, I wouldn't prune unless you're trying to get more sun in the middle of the tree. |
