Looking good! I bet that big fig was expensive! How much did it cost?

If I remember right it was 50 cents Euro which at the time the $ Euro exchange was around $1.30... so that would be 65 cents U.S. They were Sooooo good. Bass informed me that whey were called Bursa from south of Istanbul, Turkey. Shipped all over Europe to markets, Has a long shelf life.

I ate some, don't know the variety, when I was there in 98, they still had the DM at that time. With the exchange rate they were around 25 cents each. I could buy rib-eye steak for around $1 a pound. I think that rib-eyes were about $7 a pound at home then.

When I was there in 2007 I didn't but any figs or price them but the rib-eyes were about $5 a pound, still a lot cheaper than here in the U.S.!

Every seedling has its own unique characteristics and will not be identical to the mother tree. It may grow to become a caprifig or a fig that requires caprification, or it may grow to be a fig that does not require caprification and that has excellent fruit. Only time will tell...

Just noticed a new leaf coming out has a regular fig leaf shape :>)

When the sed come from a Cauducous fig(Bursa),and a non persistent caprifig,as is the case here the result is close to 0,common fig chance.
So tho it has normal fig shape it will drop them in a while.
If you want fig like Those Buy a common fig of that caliber like Maltese Falcon,or Kathleen Black.

can you take another picture of your fig tree? I find it to be most unusual.
