I have 2 unnamed varieties 1 green, and 1 yellow that I found in Charlotte NC. the unnamed green fig tree was over 30ft tall in a zone 7b. the yellow one was about 20ft tall and wide in the same zone. I tried Marseilles a few years ago and it died to the ground. Atreano is much more cold hardy. Have never had any luck with verte in a pot, let alone the ground.

LSU Gold. A large sweet green/yellow fig. Mine has been in ground and unprotected 5 years in zone 7.

Cazimere, I was wondering if you still have your lsu gold fig and how it has fared recently? I obtained one but it is still quite young although it looks great. What other varieties of fig do you grow that are cold hardy in your climate?

I would love to have Atreano cuttings. The big figs are my favorite, and a big yellow fig would really be something inspiring. For trades I have magnolia and English brown turkey and worm castings (maybe two gallons left) The magnolias are already growing roots in worm casting besmeared newspaper.
