Help ID New Find

I came across this tree a few days ago. The figs are just starting to rippen here in South Louisiana which means this is a late ripener. The owner of the tree used to be good friends with Thomas Becnel. He said the tree came from cuttings brought over from Yugoslavia. Its a sweet fig and very productive.

Good discovery, Lecompte. :)

Does it have any other flavors besides sweet? I've never tasted a yellow/green/white fig, so I don't know how they compare to dark figs. People talk about aftertastes and seed crunch.

Is the eye closed? I can't really tell.

The eye is fairly closed. It has a good taste as well as being sweet. It is hard to describe taste if you have not tasted a yellow or green fig. Most green or yellow figs have a honey taste or a fruity taste. The dark figs or usually more figgy tasting. This fig has kind of a fruity taste
