Honestly, in Zone-6....I'd over-winter those trees in a cooler area, like an unheated, but above freezing garage, then plant them, in-ground next spring. If you plant them after dormancy, and a cold snap hits your area, you may very well lose those trees. In Zone-6, even established trees are damaged, or, sometimes killed. Also, stop all fertilizers, now. If you push new, green, succulent growth, it will not have time to properly harden-off, and will be damaged by the cold.

This forum, and the other fig forum has plenty of ideas and recommendations regarding how to care for young, newly rooted cuttings, and advice on how to over-winter fig trees. Your fig tress are young and tender, and will require some special considerations when it comes to winter care if you want to see those trees live to sprout next spring. It's not a big deal, but, it is what it is.

Fig trees, and Zone-6 don't mix. It can be done, but, you have to take precautions.
