Picture of the whole tree, its huge , some of the branches have grown over 6 ft this season. I want to get this tree to winter outdoors with as little damage as possible. I live in New York (Northern Westchester ) the tree is planted against a stone wall of my home and is facing south lots of sun .... I wrapped it last winter with blankets and a tarp. This year I am going to try a frame and fill it with leaves and then tarp cover ....I may consider digging it up and putting it in the garage. I am not sure .... I will post some more pics

Here is a photo of the leaves. Last year because of die back I hade no figs to speak of just lots of growth , some small figs at the end of season. This year there are several groups of figs on last years surviving wood. And again lots of growth of new branches. I think the figs are a green or white variety . Let me know if any one recognizes it . I did take one ripe fig off the other day , great taste and it did turn a little purple , so Im not sure ...... I do enjoy the look of this fig tree , its so big and its over 7 ft high

Protect it the same as last year,and next Winter is not going to die on you any more,as it is getting older and hardier every year.

Thanks for helping me out , Im glad its Italian Honey , I read about them , seems to be a nice variety . I hope the figs ripped soon , they are looking good . I think over the winter I will take some cuttings, and try to root them ...that seem like a challenge I'd like to try . Some of my friends would like a fig tree .
