| Thursday Sept. 15 will be the second annual Staten Island fig festival. Last year from 50-100 people showed up with various figs and dishes. There are no formal speeches or lectures, just locals bringing their figs. I attended last year and stuffed my face. For more information go to silive.com. I know for a fact that there will be a former employee of Belleclare nursery there with a few interesting cultivars. Hope to see you there. |

---------- I will be attending the Fig Fest tonight at 7:00pm with my better half. I am bringing cuttings from seven of my fig trees - they are: 13 cuttings from my Black Mission Figs I am also giving two (2) potted Black Mission Fig cuttings that were started early this summer........
