Any chance these late summer cuttings will make it til spring?

I did some googling, but haven't found the answer I'm looking for. I had the opportunity to take several cuttings from a Brown Turkey fig tree on 9-9-12 and thought I'd take a chance and see if they'll root and survive through winter. I placed half my cuttings in a clear plastic box with sphagnum moss and half in a baggie wrapped in damp newspaper, then placed in the corner of the living room. The cuttings are about 8" long. What steps should I take throughout winter to keep them alive, assuming some will root? Will I eventually need to provide a heating lamp if they make it to clear plastic cups during the cold months? Any tips/suggestions are greatly appreciated!
