I happened to see it in their weekly sale flyer... so I went to see what they had... Black Mission, Brown Turkey, Kadota and Sierra. they were labeled California Fresh Figs, Packed by Western Fresh Marketing Madera, CA the Brown Turkeys were horrible, Black Mission good, Kadota skins were tough, and the Sierra were large and good.
Does anyone have any Sierra cuttings that I could get ?? I would be willing to trade if I have anything you would like to try.

I went by and bought Sierra and Brown Turkeys. I think that I like the Brown Turkey best. Both were good but not as good as my very few homegrown Celeste.

Thanks for the tip!

I saw them at Publix here in Tampa Bay. Bought one of each. Mission were good enough, but in reality, they were all prematurely picked and hard. Fully ripe figs should (IMHO) be softer if not mushy. Waste of my money buying unripe figs from Publix. Home grown is the way to go.

Interestingly, the Sierras wer horribly unripe. Luck of the draw I guess.
