The article does not describe the Archipel,but the Osborn Prolific.
Archipel from UCDAvis is a very nice cultivar and it makes large fruits with long neck,outside is ash brown,and inside is amber.
At least here in NJ it developed into a nice small tree totally resistent to cold,and good resistence to rain too.
these 2 cultivars are mixed up and confused one with another,yet I know I got Archipell from UCDAVIS.
Osborn Pr is another accession.
