BC93 question

I had a couple earlier.
They were almost identical to a Celeste. It was same size and color inside and out.

It is my understanding this cultivar is supposed to be larger than a Celeste and dark in color.

Or do I have a Celeste mislabeled?

Thanks

Rafed i posted to the other forum for 3-4 years in a row
asking about that particular fig if you recall .

Think i was the first person to inquire about this fig at the time before the qustionable one popped up and eventually
    was traded hand over foot.

Then one day i get email from a member that states he had it.
So i asked did you get it directly from Belleclare Nursery ?
Reply was no some guy off the street whom he did not know
what so ever traded with him for some other fig stock.

I may still have those emails.

I was asked do you want it and i politely said no.

Many that knew me on other forum before i deleted account
knew i was particular about where my plants came from.

As time went on i was offered this #93 on occasion and i would asked did you walk in to Belleclare and buy it yourself ?

The answer was always no so i asked"where did you obtain yours"?
I would then always trace it back to the original person that got it from someone off the street through PM'S that sometimes took a lot of Pm's

Thats when i had them open but had to closed them as forum grew - for personal reasons.

At the time i posted when a thread came up on the other forum about it that i doubt its the real deal on several ocassions.
In time i knew eventually there would be more talk about it.

So on this forum and the other forum there is now
    questions about it years later.

Is it the real deal i have my doubts .
Do i seek it anymore simply put no.

Just 1 of so many many examples of figs for profit or for trade and
probably not true to their name.

To date there is no one that i know of that can document
their plant actually came from the now closed Belleclare.

    Thanks, Martin.
I remember you requesting it exactly the way you are saying now. I do remember a mutual friend of ours jokingly said: Martin is looking for a BC93 with a pedigree attached to it.

Another member brought it to my attention a couple days ago and sent me the link to a thread that could be the very same person that was going around offering the now "fake" BC93.

I'm sorry Martin, parts of your post got me thinking of a dark street corner and a guy saying "Pssst, buddy, want to buy a fig?"

    Rafed,
just looked and the correspondence with person that this
#93 "Originated" and traded for on other forum is in my saved mail folder from 2011.
The person also mentioned in that email they sold their plant and no longer had it anymore.

I think we both know who this person was but i wont say it here and hold no ill feelings as i never traded for it or bought it.
I'm sure that same plant stock will continue to float around.

    Best Regards
    Martin
